First Aid at Work Course
This is a three day course, with a minimum of eighteen
hours teaching time, as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Although the course is intensive, the student will feel
relaxed in our teaching environment, learning skills by both practical and
theoretical means via expert tuition with ample time to practice using aids such
as mannequins, bandages and barriers used to protect patient and rescuer safety.
During the course the student will cover a wide variety of
subjects such as:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Management of serious bleeding
- Management of choking
- Burns and scalds
- Crush injuries
- First Aid at work rules and regulations
This course will leave the First Aider confident in their
own skills and abilities when dealing with a wide range of emergencies within
the workplace, and the employer confident they are complying with current Health
and Safety requirements.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course
This is a one day course, with a minimum of six hours
teaching time, giving a briefer overview of some of the subjects covered on the
First Aid at Work Course.
This is still a very useful course, although it may not be
sufficient to meet HSE legislation for your workplace; please get in touch with
us if you are unsure and we will happily discuss this with you.
It is worth noting that many building sites now ask for all
site workers to have EFAW, so why not complement your CSCS card with this
excellent qualification.
Our prices for group training at your location are as follows:
1-3 Delegates @ £249 for the 1 day course
4-6 Delegates @ £299 for the 1 day course
7-12 Delegates @ £349 for the 1 day course
We also run open courses at our location @ £75 for the 1 day course per

Basic Life Support (BLS)
This course will take approximately three hours to complete
and will teach you how to carry out techniques such as CPR and management of the
unconscious casualty, vital treatment which can mean the difference between life
and death whilst waiting for the emergency services to arrive.
We feel this course may be particularly useful for Health
Care Professionals who need to remain current in these practices, but are not
often expecting to deal with the Cardiac Arrest scenario.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Approximately 100,000 adults die in the UK from sudden
cardiac arrest (SCA) every year, with survival rates deteriorating by around 10%
for every minute that victim is without help. A defibrillator can be used in
approximately 90% of SCA cases and use of an AED can improve survival rates to
over 50%. A course to give confidence in using an AED can be held in conjunction
with a BLS course, or following a FAW/EFAW course.
With defibrillators now appearing in many public places
where large congregations of people can be found, can your workplace afford not
to have one? We can train you in safe and efficient use of this vital piece of
life saving equipment and assist in sourcing an appropriate machine for your
company, if required, probably at a far lower cost than you think.
Paediatric First Aid Training
We offer a wide range of paediatric first aid and life
support courses, it is best to get in touch with us with us to discuss your
requirements as there are many variables such as the age of the children, the
circumstances in which you have reason to be in contact with them and how you
wish to undertake your learning, with some courses being carried out online.
Alternative Training Courses
Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA), Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children (SOVC), Medication Awareness, Health & Safety Awareness, Moving & Positioning of People (Including Hoist), Infection Prevention & Control, Asbestos Awareness. This is by no means an exhaustive list so if you require a course you can't see please get in touch and we'll be able to help.
